Finding pet friendly holiday accommodations is not as hard as you may think. Although many hotels do not allow any pets in their rooms, you'll find that there are many establishments that do.

1. Ask about fees or deposits.
While scouting around for accommodations, ask for the establishment's policies on pets. Some places charge you a small fee, whilst other places request for a deposit. This deposit is returned at the end of your stay if your pet has not caused any damage.

2. Give as much information as you can.
To be on the safe side, volunteer information such as the size and breed of your pet. Some hotels allow only small pets to stay in the rooms.

3. Ask if you can leave pets unattended.
When looking for holiday accommodations, ask if you will be allowed to leave an unattended pet in your room. If you need to leave for a business meeting or formal dinner, you will probably need to leave your pet behind. Make sure that this is okay with management.

4. Check if your pet needs a cage or leash.
Certain establishments require that your pet must be kept in a cage or on a leash at all times. Make sure that you are aware of such policies in order to avoid any trouble. Even if it is not required, you might want to keep your pet on a leash every time it is outside your room.
